For example the copyright symbols: © needs to be added as a series of symbols and numbers to guarantee that it will display correctly. Simply go to the site and hit control + F then type in the name of the symbol you are looking for and it will be highlighted on the page. Look for the: HTML Number to the right of the symbol you would like to use (not the name) copy and paste that number in place of the text that is generating the strange symbol and it will be repaired.
