The Social Networking Module allows you to enable distributors to share their own social media links. It also adds the ability to share links for products from the websites to the social media pages.
There are two main components of the social networking module:
- Having the ability to share your main social media pages as icons on your website, and allowing your distributors to share on their own replicated site
- Giving your end user’s the ability to share your products on social media sites
In the ES100 please go to the Company Tab -> S.N. Management.
Here you will see two areas for controlling the social networking links
S.N. Links – allows you to edit the links that a user is directed to if they click on a social media icon in the footer of the website, and if set up by the distributor on the contact us page of their replicated site.
S.N. Product Sharing – allows you to enable which links are shown on the shopping cart.
- Please click on the S.N. Links option
The standard options for the footer link are:
– Linked In
– Blog Spot
– Google Plus
To change where users are directed to if an icon is clicked in the footer of the website, click on one of these S.N. options.
On the edit page, the description will show at the top, and the next field will display the base URL.
You will need to enter:
– The Page link (as shown in the example above)
– The sort order (If you would like Facebook to show first in your icons, enter 1)
Display:
If you do not want this icon to display (some clients remove the icons from display if they do not use those social media sites regularly) uncheck the Display Box.
Enabled:
If you would like for the icon to show, but not to be a link, make sure the box for enable is unchecked.
Distributor Enabled:
If you would like for the distributor to be able to enter their personal social networking links on their replicated site’s contact page, then check this box.
If the distributor enabled box is checked, a distributor can go to their extranet and view the links that are available to be edited by them on the Replicated Site Contact Info screen. (Please note, this page name may vary if it has been edited from the standard system name)

Like the corporate links, distributors will only need to enter their page information, and not the full link name. Please see example above.
Once they are uploaded here they will be displayed on the replicated site on the contact us page.
**Please note, that footer links will always be for corporate’s social media pages. Even when a user is on a contact us page.
- Product Sharing
Please go to the ES100 and click on the Company Tab -> S.N. Management.
Here you will see the screen to view all options that can appear on an inventory item when viewed from the website shopping cart.
The default sharing options are:
-Facebook (controlled on the edit inventory item screen)
-Linked In
-Google+
On this screen you can change the default message that will appear for all sharing options
If you no longer want an option to be available as a sharing option, you will need to click on the option and uncheck the box for Display.
**Note: Facebook Share and the items shown on the list above will ALL apply when the display sharing options box is checked.
Once you have decided which sharing options are to be enabled you will need to select the inventory items that will display them.
Please go to an inventory item, and click on edit.
On this page you will see the following above the Description area:
Here if you would like the following to display, you will need to check the box:
-Facebook Like Button
-The sharing options enabled in the S.N. Product Sharing interface
-Pinterest – if the Pinterest option has been disabled in the company tab – S.N. Management – S.N. Product Sharing; the checkbox will NOT be shown on inventory items in the es100 for sharing the product on the website.
**In order for the pinterest sharing to function if enabled, you will need to have a thumbnail attached to the inventory item.
*Facebook sharing will display when the Display Sharing Options box is checked
Once the inventory items are configured and your changes are saved, then you can view your changes by going to the website and viewing the item.

If a user clicks on one of these options:
Facebook – Will share the product image and the user can add a message.
Facebook Like – Will share the product image and the user can add message
Email – Will share the product page link / URL and the default message will be the subject. User will be required to enter the recipient’s email and their email as the from email address
Pinterest – Will share the product image and the default message
Google+ – Will share the product page link / URL and the user can add a message
Linked In – Will share the product page link / URL and the user can add a message
Twitter – Will share the product page link / URL and the user can add a message
To share a new product click on one of the sharing options
*You may be asked to log into your account
On this screen you can enter any additional comments before posting.
*Note, the link that is shown is the base URL. It will not show the full replicated site name or product information in the URL here.
Once posted the link will appear as follows:
If someone (a new user) clicks on this image or link from the shared post, they will be taken back to the replicated site that the item was shared from, and to the item that is being shared.
The new user will see the item and site and they can add to their shopping cart:
