Setting Up Combination Products

Combination products utilize Detail 1 and Detail 2 to create different versions (combinations) of the product. If your item is setup as a group item, you will not be able to set up multiple combinations.

1) First create the product.  Note: The first combination is created by editing the default “None” combination.

2) From the products profile screen, under “Combinations” click “None” under Detail 1.

3) You will be at the price summary screen, on the left-nav, click Edit Combination.

4) From the drop down, select the Detail 1 and if necessary Detail 2 that applies to this combination.

5) Once the “None” combination has been edited to be the first combination, the option to create new combinations is available from the product profile screen.  To create a new combination, click New Combination.  Select the appropriate Detail 1 and Detail 2 settings from the drop down menus.  If any prices have been established for the inventory item and option box will appear to Copy Active Prices.  Checking this box will copy all current rank-prices to the combination, minimizing price set up for the combination.  Click Save.

6) a.  Enter the Reorder Level quantity.  This is used for reorder reports.  It can be updated at anytime and it is not necessary to enter a number when setting up the product for the first time.

b. Enter Limit Level: This is used for notification to users that are ordering through Extranet or Website. If the setting is enabled to display message, then if a product is order and it is below the limit level identified for the product based on the inventory count, it will display a message to the user notifying them that the product is not available and will be shipped when available. (See ES 100 Setup, Limit Level for more information.)

c. Enter the On Hand quantities for each Warehouse enabled for this product.

d. Enter the BIN Location for the inventory item in the warehouse.

7) Once the first combination item is entered (The default of None is edited) the edits show on the inventory item profile page. Here to create additional combinations click on the New Combination Link on the left hand navigation. (See screenshot below)
