Matrix Placement

IDSTC uses a balanced build concept when filling out the matrix.  The matrix will always fill from left to right and top to bottom.  Everyone in the matrix is placed in relation to where they enter the system.

As the matrix begins to fill out it will become unbalanced since some representatives will enroll more distributors than others.  The system will automatically try to balance the matrix by inserting representatives into the system in areas that are unbalanced but in relation to where they were enrolled.

For Example – Distributor #1001 enrolls 4 distributors (1002, 1003, 1006, 1007) in a 4 x 7 matrix.  Distributor 1002 enrolls two distributors (1004 & 1008) and distributor #1003 enrolls distributor #1005.  The new enrollees will be inserted into the matrix in the following order – 1002, 1003, 1006 & 1007 will be in the first row and direct to distributor 1001.  1004 will be inserted under 1002 and will be in the column furthest to the left for distributor 1002.  1005 will be inserted under 1003 and will be in the column that is furthest to the left of 1003.  1008 will be inserted under 1002 and will be inserted in the second column open to the left.

Below is a graphical representation of the example.

In the example above the matrix has become unbalanced and the system will attempt to balance itself based on where the next distributor enters the system.  If 1001 enrolls a new representative (1009), this person will be inserted into the matrix under 1006.  To continue the balancing, if rep #1001 enrolls five more distributors – 1010, 1011, 1012, 1013, 1014, they will be inserted under 1007 then 1003 then 1006 and 1002 respectively in an attempt to balance the build of the matrix.

Below is a graphical representation of the example.
