On the Inventory Item Profile screen locate the Combinations section. The first combination is the “None” default. Click on None under the “Detail 1” heading.
This will take you to the Inventory Item Prices screen. On the left-nav, click New Price.
This will take you to the New Inventory Price screen.
Enter the Price of the item for the specific rank or ranks.
Enter the CV. CV is the “Commissionable Volume”. The compensation plan pays commissions based on this value.
Enter the SV. SV is the “Sales Volume”. The compensation plan uses SV calculations for Qualifications in the compensation plan. Note: The CV value and SV value can be different.
Enter the Taxable Amt. Regardless of the Price, the value in this field is used for calculating sales tax when the product is included in a taxable order. Typically if the product is taxable, this value is the same as the Price.
Enter the Intl Tax. This is used to add an additional amount to the tax when the product is purchased outside of the United States.
Enter the Compare price. Typically this value is the same or greater than the Price. This value exists for companies that need to show a Compare price in the shopping cart. The compare value is not utilized in most shopping cart implementations.
Enter the Add Shipping. This is used only if you have a specific inventory item that you want to add an extra shipping rate too.
The Start Date will default to today’s date. The start date may be set for a future date. If a future date is set, the price will not be available until such date.
The End Date defaults to 12/31/2099. This default basically indicates the price will not expire.
Please note that Start and end dates are not able to overlap for the same pricing record. For example for retail price set to end on 8/31, the next start date would need to be 9/1.
If your company is set up as a Party Plan System, a drop down to select a promotional price display category will be available on the screen. This drop down does not display in non-party plan systems. Select a Promo Cat (promotional price display category) if the price is a promotional price. If a promo cat is selected, no ranks can be selected for the price.
Under the heading “Select who should buy at this price:” there are two subheadings: “Customers:” and “Distributors”. Different prices can be established for each customer rank and each distributor rank. Click on each customer rank and distributor rank for which the Price will apply. Review you entries and click Save.
If you are establishing different prices for customer ranks and/or distributor ranks, repeat the price set up steps until all ranks that should have a price for the product are set up.
