First determine who needs access to the ES 100. Then determine level of access needed for user. You can then create a Type that corresponds to different groups of users and their access requirements. The default type is “Administrator”.
1) Create User Types that will restrict users access to certain areas of the system. Click Company Tab, click Security, click Create Type and enter a name for the type in the description box.Click on the appropriate tabs and functions listed to which user type will have access enabled.
Make sure to click on the “Enabled” at the bottom to enable this user type. Click Save. User types can be modified, enabled or disabled at any time.
2) Create Users: Click Company Tab, click Security, click Create User. Enter the FullName, UserName, and Password. The UserName and Password are used to login to the ES 100 from the IDSTC website login. Select the days of the week this user can login, InTime (the earliest time the user can login) and the OutTime (the latest time the user can be logged in). The system times are Eastern Standard Time, therefore you must adjust your in and out times according to your time zone. For example, if you are in the Central Standard Time zone and want the login to be 9:00am, you would enter 10:00am. If you want the log out time to be 5:00pm, then you would enter 6:00pm. Make sure the Enabled box is checked. If the box is not checked, the user’s login and password will not work. Click Save.
3) You can toggle between the Show All Users and Show All Types. Users and Types can be modified at anytime. Each user should be issued a unique User Name and Password. Multiple users should not share a User Name and Password. This is important for the User Tracking function to be effective.
NOTE: The Administrator user type is a system type and cannot be edited.
Security Warning! If a User Type has the Company Tab and the Security box checked, all users of that type will have access and control to the list of users and types. This means they can see, add, modify and delete passwords in addition to adding, modifying and deleting User Types and Users.
