Combination products utilize Detail 1 and if necessary Detail 2.  This enables you to create combination products with different prices for the various combinations in the ES100.

For example, you might sell a shirt that comes in red, green and blue. You would add red, green and blue to the Detail 1 list.  Then, rather than set up three separate products for each shirt color, you would set up one product with three combinations.  Furthermore, each shirt might come in small, medium and large.  These sizes can be added to the Detail 2 list thereby enabling you to create up to nine different combinations of the product, i.e. red-small, red-medium, red-large, green-small etc.  If a product has combinations, a drop down for the Details 1 and Details 2 associated with the product will display on the shopping cart.

To add a detail description to the Detail 1 list click Company Tab, click ES100 Setup, click Inventory, click Detail 1.  A list of existing details will display in the screen.  Click New Detail 1.  Enter the name of the detail in the Description box and click Save.  The detail will now display in the list.  Follow the same steps to add a detail to Detail 2.

To edit a detail, click on the detail name in the list.  Make changes and click Save.

Note: The detail “None” is a system detail and cannot be edited.  The “None” detail is the default for products.
