This function permanently cancels a distributor. A distributor should only be cancelled if you are absolutely sure the distributor should be cancelled. Canceling a distributor is a permanent and destructive action. When a distributor is cancelled, most functions are disabled and the profile screen displays a large “X” indicating the distributor is cancelled. What happens to the genealogy is based on how your system is set up with cancellation roll-up functionality.
Unilevel Genealogies and Matrix Genealogies with Downline rollup: When a distributor is canceled the distributor’s sponsor and enroller are changed to “Cancelled Distributors” System ID # 5. This system position holds all the cancelled reps.
Matrix without Downline rollup: The cancelled distributor maintains original sponsor and enroller and continues to occupy original position in the Downline.
To cancel a distributor, from the distributor’s profile screen click Cancel, then click OK in the two confirmation dialog boxes. Make sure you want to cancel the distributor before proceeding as this is a destructive action and would require custom development work to repair.
NOTE: Prior to canceling a distributor all AutoShip schedules must be expired. Also, none of the distributors orders can be in an “Entered” status. If there are orders in an entered status, void, post or ship the order prior to canceling the distributor.
